New Mexican companies in the club
Clip, Mexico's leading digital payments and commerce platform, announced it has received a U.S. $250 million capital investment led by the SoftBank Latin America Fund and Viking Global Investors LP. The investment is the largest ever for a payments company in Mexico and establishes Clip as the first payments Unicorn in the 12th largest economy in the world, with a valuation approaching U.S. $2 billion.
Latest Funding in Brazil
Brazil-based fintech unicorn EBANX announced a new mega-round of $430 million from Advent, one of the largest global private equity investors. Of this total, $400 million will be invested now – which includes making acquisitions across Latam – and $30 million are committed to the future IPO of the fintech.
Brazil's Creditas invests $18 mln in electric motorcycle maker Voltz. Brazilian lending platform Creditas has invested 95 million reais ($17.85 million) in local electric motorcycle startup Voltz, the two companies said, making it a significant minority shareholder in the company.

🇺🇾 DLocal deal opens door for global sellers on Amazon.com Brazil marketplace. Uruguayan payment startup dLocal said that it had struck a partnership with Amazon.com that clears the way for international vendors to sell products on Amazon’s Brazil online marketplace for the first time.
🇧🇷 C6 alcança cobertura 100% nacional, com contas abertas em todos os municípios do Brasil. Em Serra da Saudade (MG), menor município do país, com 776 habitantes, 11 têm conta no C6 Bank.
🇧🇷 Banco Neon libera cashback para compras com o cartão de débito. O sistema é ativado quando o cliente usa a ferramenta em compras acima de R$ 1. A taxa de retorno é de 0,5%.
🇦🇷 Ualá tuvo un hermanito: Ualá Bis, la solución BtoC y CtoC para cobros con comisiones "más bajas". A través del lanzamiento de la marca Ualá Bis, la fintech anunció que su solución de cobros con link de pago y mPOS está disponible para que cualquier persona que se descargue la app pueda comenzar a cobrar de forma segura, con comisiones más bajas y recibir el dinero inmediatamente en su cuenta.
